Job Description:

The Environment & Safety Cávado Lima area is looking to recruit an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist to develop and implement safety processes, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and provide technical guidance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement Professional Risk Assessment processes, as well as specific prevention and protection plans required by legislation
  • Engage in occupational safety activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing technical guidance to OHS professionals and relevant entities
  • Provide operational support in coordination with the Cávado Lima Production Center Management, ensuring best practices in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Implement objectives, indicators, and participate in the SIGAS Integrated Management Plan (Environment and Safety Management System) and continuous improvement processes
  • Deliver internal training and awareness sessions for employees and external service providers
  • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, identifying non-conformities and incidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage Framework Agreements in areas such as Waste, Surveillance, Fire Safety, External Audits, CSO, and Work at Heights
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of work accidents and occupational diseases, contributing to the implementation of corrective and preventive measures

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering with CCP TSST Certification (Level VI) or Higher Education in Occupational Health and Environment
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience, with mandatory involvement in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
  • Internal Auditor certification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and EMAS (considered an asset)
  • Solid knowledge in risk analysis and control techniques, safety inspections, applicable legislation, and OHS standards
  • Familiarity with the current regulatory framework
  • Advanced knowledge in sustainability and digital systems is valued
  • Experience with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory)
  • Valid driving license (mandatory)

Nice to have:

  • Internal Auditor certification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and EMAS
  • Advanced knowledge in sustainability and digital systems
