Job Description:

We are recruiting for an Environment Advisor Pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ environment management experience working in a supervisory role during construction phase preferably within the oil and gas industry
  • Experience of ecological management
  • terrestrial flora and fauna
  • Professional environmental qualification at Degree level minimum (e.g., Environmental Science)
  • Previous experience of working in a culturally diverse site with adverse and sensitive environment conditions whilst ensuring that the Project adheres to the environment regulations and Company requirements
  • Very good knowledge of Environment Impact Assessment, management plans and site monitoring techniques with strong focus on field ecological management
  • Knowledge of international environment legislation and standards specifically ISO14001 and International Finance Corporation (IFC)
  • Familiarity with the National Iraqi Regulatory Framework and Company referential framework (Rules, Specifications, Guides) is an advantage
  • Experience of supervising and managing a team and Contractors on site
  • Good understanding of the construction activities associated with pipe and/or pipeline installation
  • Experience in the implementation of Construction Environment Management Plans and reviewing Contractor plans and related documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, conducting training sessions, and engaging with stakeholders
  • Be able to manage personnel with different cultural backgrounds
  • Competent in quick and effective decision making and responding to the needs of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively drive positive change and improvement initiatives
  • Be a role model to establish effective team working and have experience as a trainer and mentor
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Work, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have:

  • Spoken and written Arabic is an advantage
  • Familiarity with the National Iraqi Regulatory Framework and Company referential framework (Rules, Specifications, Guides) is an advantage
