We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Entry Writer to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. Job Responsibility:
Review and validate all required shipment information, including commodity descriptions, values, and countries of origin
Communicate with importers and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or acquire missing documentation
Prepare and file customs entries using specialized brokerage software
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements
Maintain thorough and accurate shipment records for auditing and reference purposes
Generate and issue invoices promptly upon completion of customs entry processing
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination of post-clearance logistics managed by other departments
Requirements:
Worked directly with a Licensed Customs Broker preferred, though significant relevant experience may be considered
Proven experience in customs entry processing or international logistics
Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency in using customs brokerage software and general office applications
