Job Responsibility:

  • Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions
  • Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, RFI development and new calculation development to enhance efficiencies
  • Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
  • Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • EIT certification
  • A firm understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards
  • Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction
  • Diploma/Certificate
  • American Citizenship/Legally able to work in the United States of America

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
  • Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
