Job Responsibility:
Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions
Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, RFI development and new calculation development to enhance efficiencies
Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
EIT certification
A firm understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards
Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written
Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction
Diploma/Certificate
American Citizenship/Legally able to work in the United States of America
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
