Job Description

As an Entry Level Land Survey Crew Member you will work with a team of professionals to complete a wide variety of survey projects. Projects may include boundary surveys, topographic surveys, wetland surveys, route surveys, construction layout and other types of surveys as clients require. This position will be filled by a results-oriented individual that is self-motivated and willing to learn new skills. Previous surveying experience is not required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Perform survey calculations
  • Perform all aspects of stakeout and locations surveys using applicable survey equipment
  • Maintain survey equipment used and keep survey truck stocked with necessary supplies and tools
  • Coordinate work of assigned subordinate personnel
  • Assist and train personnel in lower-level positions
  • Make accuracy and calibration checks and adjustments on equipment used

  • Communicate well with members of the public, landowners, and personnel from various agencies and professionally represent the WGFD
  • Maintain a positive attitude during inclement weather, physically demanding conditions, and during interactions with members of the public
