We are seeking a dedicated Entry Level Industrial Engineer/Cost Engineer with preferably a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. The candidate will complete detailed cost estimates, gather and analyze technical, cost, and schedule data from various stakeholders, interpret drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation, and collaborate closely with engineering, planning, program management, and operations support teams during proposal development. They will interface with supply chain regarding sourcing, logistics, and cost control as part of the new construction estimating process, along with having opportunities to engage with the new construction team regarding schedule, construction optimization/planning, and overall construction process.
Job Responsibility:
Interpret drawings, specifications, and relevant Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to support detailed estimate and proposal development
Complete estimates and proposal documents accurately and on time
Gather and analyze technical, cost, and schedule data from various stakeholders in the supply chain
Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, program management, and operations support teams during proposal development
Meet deadlines under schedule pressure and work effectively within a team environment
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Previous marine construction or shipyard experience is a plus
Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications
