This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. Boeing-Wichita is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team in Wichita, KS. Industrial Engineers play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing systems that support the production of advanced aerostructures for Boeing and other aerospace partners. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, analyzing workflow and capacity, and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. The Industrial Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to evaluate processes, balance production lines, and develop scalable solutions that support high-rate aerospace manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise.
