In the role of an Electrical Technician, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing process, responsible for the assembly and installation of electronic components and electromechanical products. Your duties will include working from detailed specifications and established manufacturing procedures to ensure the proper installation and functionality of various electrical systems. You will also be required to troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise during the assembly process, as well as conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. Your work will require a moderate level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is a shop based role located in Austin, Texas.
Job Responsibility:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels and components by following instructions, diagrams, and shop procedures
Help keep shop materials organized and stocked for daily work
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Work with team members and engineering staff to complete projects on schedule
Learn to identify and correct wiring or assembly issues with attention to quality and detail
Follow written instructions, diagrams, and safety procedures carefully
Assist with testing and checking completed panels to ensure quality standards are met
Document basic notes, procedures, and updates as needed
Support panel shop setup tasks and other projects as assigned
Panel shop coordination to NAT & Naming Moxa devices on new builds
Requirements:
Basic understanding of electrical tools, wiring, or schematics (training or school experience is okay)
Willingness to learn and follow instructions in a hands-on shop environment
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work safely and carefully with tools, materials, and equipment
Dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Comfortable working with others to complete projects on time
Ability to keep a clean and organized workspace
Nice to have:
Exposure to electrical or industrial equipment through school, hobbies, internships, or previous work
Interest in automation, control panels, or manufacturing environments
Basic knowledge of electrical components such as motors, sensors, relays, or PLCs
Experience using hand tools or reading basic wiring diagrams
