Job Description

Entry Level Cook position at Skamania Lodge, a Pacific Northwest resort. Prepare food, follow safety standards, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare food following recipes and portion guidelines
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Check food quality and report any issues
  • Store, label, and rotate food properly
  • Help reduce waste and follow food cost guidelines
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary

Requirements

  • Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions in English
  • Basic knife and kitchen safety skills (training provided)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot or cold environments
  • Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen
