Job Description:

While working onsite in Reston, VA, you’ll contribute daily to a collaborative and motivating work environment where accuracy and teamwork are celebrated.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post daily journal entries to ensure accurate recording of cash activity
  • Reconcile positive pay information between bank records and company systems
  • Process and reconcile cash receipts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Maintain and oversee the organization’s check stock
  • Handle the escheatment of uncashed checks in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assist with monthly accounting close procedures, ensuring financial records are accurate and complete
  • Respond to inquiries from Treasury and collaborate with other business areas to address financial questions
  • Contribute to other tasks and projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Solid foundation in accounting concepts and principles, including journal entries and bank reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong technical skills
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
