Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky, and offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting while contributing to the department's operational goals. Job Responsibility:

process accounts payable tasks, including invoice entry, vendor communication, and statement reviews
manage accounts receivable functions such as invoicing, addressing customer inquiries, and handling collections
set up item masters and apply manufacturing cost accounting principles, ensuring accurate variance tracking
assist in preparing for and participating in both internal and external audits
evaluate and refine operational processes to uphold efficiency and compliance standards
conduct regular account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
maintain accurate accounting entries and contribute to month-end closing activities
collaborate on special projects and additional duties as assigned
travel as needed up to 10% to support accounting operations or audits

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
candidates with 1-3 years of work experience are encouraged to apply
familiarity with cost accounting principles is preferred
proficiency in basic Excel functions is required
experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
strong ability to perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
effective communication skills for vendor and customer interactions
willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes
