Job Description:

We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will assist with essential accounting functions and support financial reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to begin their career in accounting and develop valuable skills in auditing, tax preparation, and client collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in audit engagements by performing fieldwork and compiling detailed audit reports
prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
assist with tax preparation for both individual clients and businesses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
conduct thorough research on tax regulations and stay informed about updates in tax laws
build strong relationships with clients to address their financial concerns and deliver high-quality service
manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
handle bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
record and maintain accounting entries in a systematic and organized manner

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
proficiency in performing bank and account reconciliations
familiarity with preparing accounting entries and maintaining accurate financial records
strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to conduct relevant research
excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities
ability to adapt to new accounting tools and systems as needed
