Establish operating cadence focused on standards, reuse, and measurable business outcomes
Develop and coach a team of CPQ Automation Engineers, a Library Engineer, and a PLM Workflow Engineer
Own configurator governance across core product families
Define and maintain rules, constraints, and option logic to improve quote accuracy and completeness
Partner with Application Engineering and Proposals to strengthen solution quality
Drive discipline around reusable engineering content, standard assemblies, and naming conventions
Ensure content supports Engineering, Proposals, and downstream operational handoffs
Reduce one-off engineering by promoting structured, approved libraries
Lead workflow logic supporting release readiness and approval routing
Partner with PDML and IT to ensure engineering outputs are complete and actionable
Identify and resolve workflow breakdowns through clearer standards and ownership
Own metrics tied to configurator adoption, proposal accuracy, and library reuse
Convert recurring engineering questions into standardized options and routines
Translate engineering systems work into visible improvements in speed, accuracy, and execution readiness
Partner with Proposals, Engineering, PDML, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT
Strengthen handoffs from proposal through execution
Align engineering systems with broader business objectives
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in industrial, systems, product, or automation engineering

Experience with CPQ automation, product configuration, or engineering standards
Strong understanding of engineering workflows tied to proposals, order execution, and operations
Proven ability to drive structure, clarity, and repeatability across complex environments
Strong communication and collaboration across technical and operational teams
Nice to have:
Experience in configure-to-order or engineer-to-order environments
Background in industrial automation, process control, or engineered equipment
Experience with PLM/CAD/CAM systems (Siemens preferred)
Track record improving proposal quality, option discipline, and handoff clarity
Experience standardizing engineering practices across multiple sites or product lines
