Job Description

The Solutions Architect is responsible for leading variety of architectural and engineering activities including the analysis of functional requirements, solutions design, evaluation of different options and presenting comparative analysis along with recommendation to senior stakeholders. Individual will apply in-depth domain knowledge of financial services to grasp all facets of the multiple dimensional business problems and develop solution options. Individual needs to be results-oriented, innovative and motivated to drive opportunities in efficiency gains, enhanced controls and extendible scalability. This is articulated and demonstrated through various types of architectural artifacts. This high performing team designs enterprise-wide solutions for critical business needs leveraging solutions, business, technical, and data architecture. Key stakeholders include operations teams, product teams and application development teams from different parts LoBs & functions within the organization. These engagements are global.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop solution design options for enterprise-wide initiatives, evaluate the art of the possible, and devise recommendation options across several evaluation dimensions
  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap
  • Evaluates and tests potential architecture solution designs to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure that all integration of functions fulfill business goals
  • Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
  • Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services
  • Strong experience in data structures and its impact on design principles as well as proposals
  • Advise or mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Project Management experience
  • End to End Process Mapping and Design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process changes and improvement
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
