Job Description

This role is the data backbone of Enterprise Risk Management, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting for both Senior Leaders and across all Business teams. It will drive data excellence, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement, enabling proactive risk oversight and strategic decision-making. The focus will be on developing a single source of truth for risk data which can be used centrally and for all teams. It is essential that the successful candidate applies data validation and appropriate analytics to ensure the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) is being followed.

Job Responsibility

  • KRI Data Management: Own the end-to-end process for Key Risk Indicator (KRI) data collection, validation, and consolidation across all directorates
  • Single source of truth: Develop a single source of truth for data reporting which is accessible, consistent and easy to use. Use this to identify new and innovative reporting and insights. Ownership of risk data taxonomy and metadata standards
  • Risk Reporting & Narratives: Prepare accurate and insightful risk/issues reports, including heatmaps, trend analysis, and executive summaries for governance forums (ERCC, ARC). Identify best practice for reporting from both external and internal sources and incorporate it where applicable
  • Risk Score Tracking: ensure consistent application of risk scores across registers in alignment with ERMF
  • Data Quality & Improvement: Identify gaps in data integrity and lead initiatives to improve data capture, structure, and automation opportunities
  • Insights & Analytics: Deliver data-led insights on emerging risk trends, control effectiveness, risk interconnections and thematic issues to inform deep dives and horizon scanning
  • Heatmap & Dashboard Management: Develop and maintain dynamic heatmaps and dashboards for real-time risk visibility
  • Governance Support: Provide high-quality data packs for risk committees and ensure compliance with reporting timelines and standards
  • Data Migration: Lead all migration/consolidation programs to ensure consistency with reporting
  • Partnerships: Liaise and build close working relationships with IT/Data teams/External Partners to optimise risk systems and drive process automation
  • Community Champion: Championing data literacy within the risk community
  • Audit action tracking: Tracking and Ensuring audit items across the team are tracked and actioned on time. Provide support for regulatory and audit data requests

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Risk Management within financial services or telecommunications, with a strong track record of delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and comfortable translating complex data into executive insights
  • Strong experience in risk data management, analytics, and reporting within a regulated environment
  • Advanced Excel/Power BI/Tableau/SQL skills and familiarity with risk systems/tools
  • Understanding of ERM principles, KRIs, and risk scoring methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills, combined with strong IT proficiency, including advanced use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with telecoms risk landscape and emerging technology risks
  • Demonstrable application of innovative thinking to resolve issues efficiently
