Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Enterprise DBA to manage and optimize database environments for enterprise applications. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance of RDBMS and NoSQL systems, support application teams, and drive database best practices across deployments and migrations.

Job Responsibility

  • Fine-tune databases for performance, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement improvements
  • Administer enterprise application databases: access management, user profiles, system monitoring, and alerting
  • Define and enforce DB-related best practices, security policies, and protections against SQL/NoSQL injection
  • manage encryption protocols
  • Plan and execute database patching and upgrades per procedures and best practices
  • Provide data analysis and insights to optimize application performance and functionality
  • Provision and configure application databases from scratch, including backend settings and environment hardening
  • Design, implement and manage Data Guard or equivalent replication and synchronization for migrations, including delta data migration and validation

Requirements

  • Strong Enterprise DBA experience with performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting for RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/Postgres) and familiarity with NoSQL where applicable
  • Proven experience in DB security: access controls, encryption, injection prevention and policy enforcement
  • Hands-on experience with database patching, upgrades, backup/recovery and high-availability solutions (Data Guard/replication)
  • Experience setting up DB environments from scratch and configuring backend/app integration
  • Solid data analysis skills for performance optimization and capacity planning
  • Scripting/automation skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python) for operational tasks and migrations
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with application teams during deployments and migrations
