Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Architect to lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of a modern analytics and reporting platform. This role will be responsible for defining the end-to-end data architecture, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring scalable, governed, and business-aligned data solutions across multiple subject areas. The EDW Architect will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into a sustainable enterprise data warehouse and BI ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate and recommend data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse)
  • Select and design ETL/ELT solutions and orchestration frameworks (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, ADF, Informatica, Talend)
  • Design dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas, aligned to business use cases
  • Lead subject area modeling and architecture across Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, HR, and Procurement
  • Define BI-layer architecture and reporting standards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Establish data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality frameworks
  • Produce architecture documentation, implementation roadmaps, and conduct knowledge transfer and handover to delivery teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data warehousing and analytics architecture
  • Proven experience implementing modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse
  • Deep expertise in dimensional modeling methodologies (Kimball and/or Inmon)
  • Strong background designing and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory
  • Hands-on experience with BI semantic layers and enterprise reporting frameworks (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience designing data governance, data quality, and lineage solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud-native analytics architectures
  • Prior involvement in enterprise data modernization initiatives
  • Consulting or advisory experience delivering architecture strategies and roadmaps
