The Enterprise Architecture team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager (IT Project Tech Lead - C13) to lead, coach, and drive our self-organizing Agile teams to deliver GenAI solutions as part of the larger Citi Strategy to simplify and improve the operating model through AI innovation for concrete business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in manage project scope, remove impediments, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and self-organization, often in fast-paced environments utilizing frameworks like Scrum or Kanban to deliver high-quality, iterative and reusable solutions
Job Responsibility:
Lead software development projects from conception to delivery
Translate initial concepts and ideas into tangible artifacts, evolve artifacts into deliverable components, and ultimately produce demonstrable products for stakeholders
Manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion
Utilize a strong background in identifying, documenting, and tracking user stories to guide development efforts
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to promote effective team collaboration and project progression
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initiating proof-of-concept development to extending it into production, including managing lifecycle events, securing necessary approvals, navigating review boards, and implementing production readiness controls
Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks to optimize team productivity and ensure smooth project flow
Employ risk mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they impact project timelines or outcomes
Coach and mentor self-organizing teams through evolving requirements, fostering collaboration within an Agile framework
Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, effectively managing expectations, requirements, and feedback loops
Track project progress using tools such as JIRA, meticulously maintaining project artifacts, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Prioritize the delivery of incremental, high-quality, and valuable software products
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear and concise interactions across all project facets
Possess hands-on experience in leading and coordinating Integration System Testing (IST) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
6+ years of relevant project experience in financial disciplines related to Loan Operations, Transaction Management, Shared Services, and/or Product Cash Flows
Deep understanding and experience working on large technology projects using industry-standard delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and has earned relevant certifications (e.g., CSM, PMP, Agile PM)
Proficiency across different stages of the software development lifecycles (SDLC)
Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, ability to interpret, and draw insights to make decisions
Experience working with cross functional teams such as architecture, technology, operational, risk, compliance, etc.
Team player: Ability to develop working relationships with junior and senior stakeholders
Management and prioritization skills
Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements
Bachelor’s/University/Post degree preferably in computer science, computer engineering or business management, or equivalent experience
