This role will provide dedicated architectural leadership for a specific value stream, aligning technology strategy with business goals and enabling seamless collaboration between IT and business stakeholders. Job Responsibility:
Align Technology and Business Strategy: The EA will work directly with senior Value Stream leaders to translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies, ensuring that IT investments drive measurable business value and support long-term growth
Drive Modernization and Innovation: The EA will lead the evolution of existing systems to modern, modular architectures, enabling agility, scalability, and faster time-to-market for new insurance products
Enhance Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: With deep industry experience, the EA will ensure that technology solutions meet evolving regulatory requirements and support robust risk management practices
Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: By acting as a bridge between business and IT, the EA will break down silos, streamline operations, and improve data sharing and customer experience. The EA will act as a bridge between business and IT, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders. This includes engaging with senior business leaders to understand their strategic priorities and ensuring that the technology strategy supports these priorities
Develop Technology Strategy: The EA will assist senior leaders in defining a technology strategy that is responsive to the evolving needs of the Value Stream. This includes developing a common architecture that supports both local and enterprise-wide needs, allowing for rapid development and integration of new technologies
Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate mid- to long-term technology strategies, target architectures, and capability roadmaps that align with Value Stream business goals
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in for architectural decisions
Capability Assessment: Evaluate current and future-state capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend investments to support business objectives
Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and measurements to guide technology change and ensure compliance
Mentorship and Thought Leadership: Share industry insights, mentor domain architects, and represent the organization at industry forums and conferences.
Requirements:
Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect in the insurance sector, with a strong understanding of regulatory, operational, and customer challenges
Ability to balance technical depth with commercial awareness, ensuring that technology solutions deliver tangible business outcomes
Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives, modernizing legacy systems, and fostering a culture of innovation
Exceptional communication skills to engage senior leaders, influence decision-making, and drive cross-functional alignment
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial for the EA to build strong relationships with business executives. The ability to articulate the value of enterprise architecture and its role in enabling business capabilities is vital for gaining buy-in from senior leaders.
