We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Enterprise Architect for a leading digital solutions provider. This role will see you working within a secure Defence environment, helping translate strategic business objectives into practical, scalable and secure technology roadmaps. You will play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise-wide architecture vision, ensuring technology strategy aligns with operational outcomes across complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.
Job Responsibility:
Own and develop enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps (as-is, to-be and transition states)
Translate business strategy into technology and data delivery plans
Lead cross-cutting architectural capabilities that enable organisational change
Establish and govern architecture principles, policies and standards
Ensure adherence to corporate, industry and national security standards
Collaborate with delivery, engineering and security teams to embed architecture across programmes
Provide architectural oversight across portfolios and transformation initiatives
Contribute to bids and proposals as a pre-sales architect where required
Mentor and develop internal architectural capability and standards
Identify and assess emerging technologies, evaluating their strategic relevance and impact
Requirements:
Proven experience operating as an Enterprise Architect within complex organisations
Experience aligning business strategy to enterprise-wide technical roadmaps
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF essential
Zachman desirable)
Practical experience using modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect
Experience working across multi-disciplinary delivery teams
Knowledge of secure development practices and solution security principles (e.g. OWASP, NCSC guidance)
Understanding of data protection best practice (e.g. GDPR)
Experience establishing architecture governance and standards
TOGAF certification
Nice to have:
Experience working within secure or Defence environments
Active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
Experience within UK Central Government
Familiarity with ArchiMate or similar modelling languages
