Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and standards
  • Lead modernization planning for transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures
  • Architect and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure
  • Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with Commonwealth security frameworks, federal regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure architecture aligns with business goals and citizen engagement needs
  • Provide technical guidance and solution oversight to development teams and project managers
  • Define and promote data interoperability strategies across multiple systems while ensuring compliance with record retention and protection policies
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery, reporting, and efficiency
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, roadmaps, and architectural standards
  • Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by communicating complex technical strategies in a comprehensible manner
  • Support architecture governance by reviewing and validating solution architectures, ensuring compliance with enterprise policies and guiding technology decision-making

Requirements:

  • Six years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree
  • Ten years of professional information technology experience
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Experience with application development and modernization
  • Experience with enterprise reference architectures and technology standards
  • Experience with API design and secure system integrations
  • Experience with cloud solution architecture (preferably Azure)
  • Experience with developing and executing technology roadmaps that align technical domains with business objectives
  • Experience with translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Certifications such as TOGAF 9.x, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Experience in state or federal government environments
  • Familiarity with low-code platforms, especially Appian (case management, workflows, and regulatory systems)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, geospatial systems, or regulatory data standards
