Job Description:

Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the development and evolution of its enterprise architecture as part of a significant modernization initiative. This role will focus on aligning business objectives with technology strategy, establishing architecture standards and roadmaps, and ensuring systems are integrated, secure, and scalable. Working closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams, the successful candidate will provide architectural guidance across multiple initiatives, support informed technology decision making, and drive improvements in efficiency, governance, and long term digital transformation.

Develop and maintain enterprise architecture models, standards, and technology roadmaps
Ensure systems and applications are integrated, secure, and aligned with architectural best practices
Evaluate and rationalize the application portfolio to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy
Provide architectural guidance across projects and support enterprise wide decision making
Identify opportunities for modernization, automation, and process improvement
Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards
Assess emerging technologies and manage architectural risks and change impacts
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement and evolve architectural solutions

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Enterprise Strategist, or similar senior architecture role
Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business objectives in complex environments
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent)
Experience developing enterprise roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance processes
Broad understanding of business, application, data, and technology architecture domains
Experience evaluating and rationalizing application portfolios and supporting modernization initiatives
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including working with executive leadership
Experience collaborating with cross functional teams across business and IT environments
Knowledge of security, risk, and compliance considerations within enterprise architecture
Ability to work independently while leading strategic initiatives and influencing organizational change
