Job Description:

HPE’s Public Sector presales team partners with HPE Account Managers and Client Specialists to build strategic customer relationships, understand customer environments and needs, and drive the architecture of Information Technology solutions (hardware, software, services, and as a service offerings). This role will participate in Federal Civilian Agency pursuits across North America. The preferred locations are listed on the req, but the team will consider qualified candidates that are US citizens located within the continental United States we encourage you to apply. Candidates must have demonstrated experience architecting complex Information Technology solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes either within a specific technical domain, or across a broader company portfolio in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration). Experience with cloud-based solution architecture, infrastructure, applications, and usage preferred. This Presales Enterprise Architect will support HPE’s growing Federal Civilian Agency business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Facilitates and leads deep-dive technical discussions with the client and accounts teams - building customer relationships, understanding business needs, evaluating the customer's ecosystem and advocating and presenting technical strategies for a customer's transformation
  • Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers (through sales presentations, product/solution demonstrations, etc.)
  • Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals that ensure customers’ business and technical requirements are met
  • Focus on technical selling to customers/partners. May be aligned to specific accounts based on business priority

Requirements:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience architecting information technology solutions for customers ranging from as examples: hardware solutions (servers, storage, networking), cloud infrastructure solutions (vendor agnostic as-a-service solutions, such as HPE GreenLake), and High-Performance Computing / Artificial Intelligence systems supporting a variety of customer use cases
  • 3+ IT technologies such as cloud software (open source, containers, virtualization, system management) and hardware (server, storage, networking). Understanding and service proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Science/Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications and experience work
  • Experience creating custom architectures and solution configurations, delivering live demonstrations and proof of concept (POCs) of products, solutions, tools, and services to customers, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Working knowledge with the as-a-service (aaS) business model, business value, and complete ecosystem and how that drives aaS strategic goals within one or more domains
  • Consultative and value selling skills, advisory influence, and executive gravitas, including presenting, white boarding, storytelling, objection-handling, and closing skills
