Job Description

HPE’s Public Sector presales team partners with HPE Account Managers to build strategic customer relationships, understand customer environments and needs, and drives the architecture of Information Technology solutions (hardware, software, services, and as a service offerings). This role will participate in AI Factory pursuits across North America, with emphasis on central United States and Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia. The preferred locations are listed on the req, but the team may consider qualified candidates that are US citizens located within the continental United States we encourage you to apply. Candidates must have demonstrated experience architecting complex Information Technology solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes either within a specific technical domain, or across a broader company portfolio in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration). Experience with Artificial Intelligence solution architecture, infrastructure, applications, and usage preferred. This Presales Enterprise Architect will support HPE’s growing State, Local and Education business.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitates and leads deep-dive discussions with the client and accounts teams to build customer relationships, understand business needs, evaluate the customer's ecosystem and advocate and present technical strategies for a customer's AI transformation
  • Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers (through sales presentations, product/solution demonstrations, etc.) aimed at gaining the customer mindshare within their domain
  • Orchestrates the design of complex AI Factory proposals to deliver and communicate tangible business value to customers
  • Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals and ensures customer's business and technical requirements are met
  • Focuses on technical selling to customers/partners

Requirements

  • 3+ years hands-on experience architecting HPC/AI solutions for customer-specific workloads or use cases
  • familiarity with AI use cases
  • Strong familiarity with Major cloud, proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • 3+ years of work within Cloud infrastructure (DevOps & Containers, Networking & Security, Data & Storage)
  • Technical customer sales experience with the Public Sector, specifically State, Local and Education is preferred
  • Preferred certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, and/or Google Cloud Architect
  • Familiarity with IT technologies such as cloud software (open source, containers, virtualization, system management) and hardware (server, storage, networking)
  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Science/Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications
