The Azure AI Software Development Architect is responsible for designing, engineering, and operationalizing secure, scalable, and highly reliable software solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong emphasis on hands-on development and production readiness. This role bridges advanced software engineering with AI/ML and agentic AI systems, leveraging Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Semantic Kernel, and the Microsoft Agent Framework to build intelligent, goal-driven solutions. The architect will use AI-assisted development tools and modern coding practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and performance. Key initiatives include designing and implementing multi-agent systems, generative AI applications, LLM integrations, and RAG-based architectures that deliver real operational and business impact. A core focus of this role is contributing to and evolving the enterprise Agent Framework to enable the orchestration, governance, and deployment of specialized AI agents that automate and enhance IT operations in alignment with enterprise standards. Additionally, the position will establish proactive monitoring and alert remediation processes using Azure Automation, runbooks, and modern observability tooling. The Senior Cloud Development Architect will also manage cloud governance policies—including PIM, ASR, and Azure Policy enforcement—to ensure compliance and operational integrity. A key component of this role includes contributing to modernization initiatives, migrating legacy workloads into Azure-based cloud and hybrid architectures, and aligning solutions with enterprise architecture standards to move the organization forward.
