As Clearpay continues to scale, our Relationship Management team plays an increasingly critical role in driving sustainable growth across our largest and most strategic merchants. We are seeking a senior, highly commercial relationship manager to own and grow a portfolio of key enterprise merchants in the UK, spanning both new and existing partnerships. This role will be instrumental in shaping Clearpay's enterprise engagement strategy, acting as a trusted advisor to senior merchant stakeholders and a key voice internally to influence product, commercial, and operational outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Own and grow long-term, strategic enterprise partnerships that deliver material value for Merchants, Customers, and Clearpay, with accountability across topline growth, profitability, and unit economics
Define and execute bespoke growth strategies for enterprise merchants, driving increased adoption, performance, and revenue across existing contracts and newly launched partnerships
Lead complex Merchant 'Go Lives' and expansions, acting as the senior point of coordination across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations to ensure successful delivery
Build trusted relationships with senior merchant stakeholders, positioning Clearpay as a strategic partner and advisor rather than a transactional provider
Shape, evolve, and champion Clearpay's enterprise Merchant Value Proposition across the full lifecycle, ensuring world-class engagement and long-term retention
Identify strategic opportunities, risks, and market insights from enterprise merchants, feeding these into senior leadership to inform product roadmap, commercial strategy, and operational improvements
Drive best practices and scalable improvements across the relationship management function, mentoring junior team members and contributing to capability uplift across the wider team
Requirements:
5+ years experience managing and growing enterprise-level merchants within e-commerce, payments, fintech, or retail environments
Proven track record of owning complex, high-value client relationships with accountability for commercial outcomes
Experience operating in a high-growth or rapidly scaling technology business
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance revenue growth, customer outcomes, and profitability
Confidence engaging with senior and C-suite merchant stakeholders, influencing decision-making and navigating complex organisations
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive outcomes without direct authority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy and value
Highly organised, able to manage multiple enterprise accounts and initiatives simultaneously
A proactive, self-driven leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Passion for building exceptional, long-term customer partnerships and raising the bar for enterprise relationship management
