Job Description

Manage relationships with innovative international merchants, covering multiple industries and channels. Work on cross-functional initiatives and projects in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy. Become an expert in the global payments landscape. Support a portfolio of Mandarin-speaking enterprise clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Build strong customer relationships and navigate complex organizations to align the right external and internal stakeholders
  • Lead client meetings and executive discussions in both English and Mandarin
  • Develop a global network within Adyen and collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones
  • Drive commercial discussions with customers in English and Mandarin, while meeting strategic and financial targets for assigned accounts
  • Act as the human dimension of Adyen’s product, delivering expertise, education, and payment guidance to customers
  • Position Adyen as a trusted partner and use data to tell compelling stories that resonate across diverse markets
  • Prioritize and execute short- and long-term initiatives across multiple enterprise accounts, ensuring alignment across global stakeholders
  • Be the voice and champion for your customers internally, serving as a critical feedback loop between clients and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing, commercial role (e.g., account management, consulting, payments industry from a merchant perspective)
  • Strong background in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) to conduct business discussions, executive communications, and strategic account planning
  • Full professional written and verbal proficiency in English and Mandarin language
  • Experience engaging others and developing strong working relationships at all levels of management
  • Skilled in leveraging business acumen and analytical abilities to strategically assess and help reach client goals
  • Comfortable synthesizing complex data sets and using data to tell a story
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects across different departments
  • Some domestic and international travel required
