Job Description:

An Outstanding Secondary School in Merton are seeking a English Teaching Assistant and aspiring English Teacher who they can train through-out the year as a English Teaching Assistant, working specifically within KS3, KS4 and KS5 English Lessons, as well as supporting students with SEN in their English studies. This excellent school is in the top 1% in the UK for their progress 8 score, as well as being in the top 1% for English results at GCSE & A Level.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working specifically within English lessons
  • Supporting in class, as well as out of class with interventions
  • Working across KS3 & KS4 + KS5 1:1 support bi-weekly
  • Work closely with pupils both in class on a 1:1 and group level, as well as outside of the classroom providing group interventions
  • Supporting students with SEN in their English studies

Requirements:

  • English Graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 degree
  • Strong academics are essential
  • Interested in working with students of all abilities, lower and higher
  • Positive role model who can work with integrity
