Job Description

Supply English Teachers – Flexible, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Norwich, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Support pupils' learning and progress during short-term cover
  • Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
  • Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching English in secondary schools
  • Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and year groups
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
