Day-to-Day Supply English Teacher - Torbay & Brixham. Job Title: Secondary English Teacher (Day-to-Day Supply). Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time, Temporary, Flexible Day-to-Day Cover. Location: Torbay, Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, and surrounding South Devon areas. Salary: £100 - £165 per day (Paid weekly via PAYE). Security: Guaranteed Work Scheme available (Subject to T&Cs). We are offering consistent day-to-day supply work with the ultimate flexibility: you tell us when you want to work. The Role & What to Expect. As a day-to-day supply teacher, your focus is entirely on impactful classroom delivery and student engagement. No Planning Burden: Step into pre-prepared classrooms and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). Behaviour & Environment: Utilise positive classroom management strategies to ensure a welcoming, productive learning space. Liaison: Work alongside excellent local school support staff and teaching assistants to keep students focused. Zero Marking Strings: Leave the classroom tidy, leave handover notes for the permanent teacher, and hand over your keys at the end of the day. Why Teach with Randstad in South Devon? Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Strong curriculum knowledge of KS3/KS4 GCSE English
  • Excellent adaptability and quick rapport-building skills
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to process one through Randstad)
  • A true commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
