Job Description:

Long-Term English Teacher assignment for a high-performing secondary school in the PL11 area. The role starts ASAP and runs through the full academic year, offering a term-time-only schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver a structured English Language and Literature curriculum for KS3 and KS4 learners
  • Provide critical support for Year 11 cohorts as they approach their GCSEs, focusing on analysis and creative writing
  • Build trust and rapport to engage hard-to-reach learners
  • Work alongside the department head to adapt schemes of work that reflect the diverse needs of the Torpoint community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • Commitment to treat the role with the same dedication as a permanent post
  • Adaptability to pick up existing lesson plans and add creative flair
