Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned English Language and Literature lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students
  • Provide versatile general cover for various subjects, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of classroom management
  • Cultivate a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment that adheres to individual school behavioural expectations
  • Provide detailed and constructive feedback to facilitate a seamless transition for the returning class teacher.

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of the UK National Curriculum for secondary English
  • Exhibit exceptional adaptability and professional communication skills
  • The ability to reliably commute around Plymouth
  • Possess a valid Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service, or a willingness to undergo the vetting process.
