Job Description:

Working within a hospital environment is unlike any mainstream classroom. You will be teaching children and young people who are facing health challenges, requiring a teacher who can balance academic rigour with high levels of empathy and adaptability.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to individual needs and health requirements
Adapt teaching styles for a diverse range of learners, from mainstream secondary pupils to those with complex needs
Collaborate with medical staff and families to provide a supportive learning environment

Requirements:

Strong experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Proven experience working with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) within a special school setting
Flexibility
Resilience
Comfort working within a hospital ward environment
