English Teacher - New Year, New Challenge in Chorley! Seeking a dedicated subject specialist to join a high-achieving Secondary School in the market town of Chorley. Opportunity to secure a long-term placement for the remainder of the academic year or seeking the flexibility of expert supply work. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver the New Year Curriculum (plan and teach high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, focusing on both English Language and Literature)
  • Focus on Attainment (use data-driven insights to support students in reaching target grades)
  • Engage & Inspire (use subject passion to make classic and contemporary texts relevant to a diverse student body)
  • Professional Collaboration (work seamlessly with existing English faculty to maintain consistent, high-standard learning experience)
  • Positive Environment (maintain disciplined yet nurturing classroom where every student can excel)

Requirements:

  • QTS Qualification (Full Qualified Teacher Status is essential)
  • Subject Expertise (deep understanding of GCSE English specifications and track record of successful teaching)
  • Immediate Integration (ability to quickly build professional relationships with students and staff)
  • Strong Values (commitment to safeguarding and well-being of all young people)
  • Documentation (valid Enhanced Child DBS on the update service or willingness to apply promptly)
