Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver stimulating English Language and Literature lessons that cater to all ability levels
Foster a love of reading through innovative classroom strategies and extracurricular engagement
Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are confident in their skills
Provide detailed, high-quality feedback that allows students to see their own path to progress
Utilise data-driven insights to identify and support students who may be falling behind
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that adheres to the school's behaviour policy
Contribute to the development of departmental resources and shared schemes of work
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student achievement and well being
Participate in school-wide events, parent's evenings, and departmental meetings

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Deep knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE assessment frameworks
