Job Description:

Are you an English Teacher who can make Shakespeare feel like a modern-day drama and turn a grammar lesson into a masterclass in expression? We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a wonderful Secondary School in Bury St Edmunds. Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the English curriculum, including Language and Literature
  • Guide Year 10 and 11 students through their set texts and creative writing
  • Foster a love for reading across the school
  • Differentiate lessons to support students with diverse needs
  • Use regular assessments to track student growth, providing constructive feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of innovative schemes of work

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Mandatory
  • degree in English Literature, Language, or a related field
