Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and English Literature, ensuring all students are effectively supported throughout the contract period
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing clear feedback that aligns with the school's standards
  • Cultivate a dynamic classroom environment, maintaining high standards of behavior and a positive learning culture
  • Collaborate effectively with department colleagues regarding lesson handovers, resources, and progress updates
  • Adhere to school policies, contributing positively to the day-to-day rhythm of the school

Requirements:

  • Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Relevant degree in English or a closely related field
  • Proven experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)
  • Strong adaptability and organizational skills to pick up existing schemes of work quickly
  • An inspiring presence with excellent behavioral management skills
  • A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
