Job Description:

An "Outstanding" Secondary school is looking for a qualified English Teacher to join their staff immediately. The school is a large comprehensive school based in London, rated good by Ofsted, committed to educating and supporting pupils to become confident and successful young people. Staff have high expectations and pupil behaviour is good. The senior leadership is committed to ensuring high quality teaching in a safe and friendly environment.

Job Responsibility:

Teaching English to pupils across key stage 3 with low literacy and various SEN needs
Supporting students working towards GCSE exams
Working closely with the English and SEN department to maintain and improve teaching and learning
Using an engaging, creative, thematic curriculum based on the National Curriculum, personalized to learning needs

Requirements:

Qualified English Teacher
Ability to support and motivate students in the classroom
Ability to plan and prepare fun learning opportunities tailored to individual needs
Ability to assess individual learning needs and work on a group and class basis
Applications from ECTs (Early Career Teachers) accepted
