Job Description

Justteachers are looking to recruit an English Teacher to work within one of our partner secondary schools in Northampton. We are seeking an experienced English specialist who can teach up to KS4, demonstrates strong behaviour management skills, and is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver English lessons to KS3 and KS4 (Years 7–11)
  • Follow the UK National Curriculum to provide engaging and informative lessons
  • Build positive relationships with students and manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress
  • Uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies

Requirements

  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and/or KS4
  • QTS, QTLS, or ECT status
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two education-based references
  • A passion for inspiring young people to succeed
