Job Responsibility:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Lead interventions to help pupils prepare for their English GCSE assessments
Adapt teaching styles to support students of all ability levels
Maintain a productive, focused, and positive classroom environment
Mark student work and provide constructive feedback to drive progress
Ensure student safety and strictly follow school safeguarding protocols
Attend departmental meetings and contribute to lesson planning

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum
The ability to explain complex ideas in simple, exciting ways
Good at planning ahead and meeting deadlines
Experience in managing classroom behaviour effectively
