Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver a knowledge-rich English curriculum that challenges students to think critically and communicate powerfully
  • Assess and monitor student attainment, providing clear, actionable feedback that helps every child reach their full potential
  • Maintain a stimulating and organized learning environment that celebrates student work and academic curiosity
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including extracurricular debate clubs, creative writing workshops, and theatre trips

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong undergraduate degree in English Literature, Language, or a related field
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative lessons that secure excellent progress at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus)
  • A passion for reading: The ability to inspire a diverse student body and foster a genuine love for books and theatre
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children
  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work within a dedicated, friendly team of English specialists
