Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Lead interventions to help pupils prepare for their English GCSE assessments
  • Adapt teaching styles to support students of all ability levels
  • Maintain a productive, focused, and positive classroom environment
  • Mark student work and provide constructive feedback to drive progress
  • Ensure student safety and strictly follow school safeguarding protocols
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to lesson planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum
  • The ability to explain complex ideas in simple, exciting ways
  • Good at planning ahead and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in managing classroom behaviour effectively
