We are seeking a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Maidenbower. This role involves delivering engaging English lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, within a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual needs
Support students with SEMH and additional learning needs
Differentiate learning to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners
Manage behaviour using calm, consistent and positive approaches
Track and monitor student progress and attainment
Work closely with support staff, leadership, and external agencies
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working within SEMH or alternative provision settings (desirable)
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
Ability to engage and motivate disengaged learners
A calm, patient and resilient approach
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
