Job Description:

Pink Tile Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated English Specialists (Unqualified Teachers) to join our bank of specialists, supporting a lovely secondary school in Chichester and other schools in the surrounding area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad hoc teaching work, helping students access and enjoy English while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You could be working day-to-day or on longer-term bookings, ranging from 1–5 days per week, depending on your availability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support teachers in the delivery of engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation of resources to help students access the curriculum
  • Deliver lessons independently when appropriate, under the guidance of experienced teachers
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers and department staff to support curriculum delivery and contribute to departmental initiatives

Requirements:

  • A motivated individual with a strong interest in English who wants to support and gain experience in teaching
  • Willingness to support the delivery and/or planning of English lessons
  • Ideally, comfortable delivering lessons in other core subjects when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Flexible, patient, and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning
