Job Description:

The Rise School, rated ‘Good' by Ofsted, supports autistic pupils aged 4–18. At full capacity, 130 young people learn with us across primary and secondary phases. Our mission is simple: to ensure every pupil is seen, valued and celebrated for who they are. We are looking for an enthusiastic English Intervention Teaching and Learning Assistant, with a strong focus on developing reading and comprehension skills, to help our learners thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to and champion the vision and values of our school community
  • Lead English intervention sessions for small groups of pupils with identified learning needs
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching and learning activities
  • Provide behavioural and learning support using a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) approach
  • Actively develop your understanding of effective pedagogy including Teacher-talk and instructional clarity, Skilled questioning and dialogue, Formative assessment, Modelling and scaffolding learning
