Job Description:

English and General Cover Teacher – Flexible supply opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Teignmouth and the surrounding areas, covering English and general subjects as needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across English and other subjects following provided plans
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Assess and record pupil progress where required
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners
  • Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and ability to cover general subjects
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
