  • Troubleshoot technical issues within welding cells and implement robust countermeasures or mechanical improvements
  • Engage with Engineering and Management teams to prioritize tasks across R&D, design, and manufacturing phases
  • Research and propose cost-effective equipment modifications to boost machine reliability and production throughput
  • Write detailed technical specifications for the procurement of new welding equipment, tooling, and utilities
  • Lead the design, construction, and acceptance testing for new welding jigs and automated machinery
  • Define and optimize operating process parameters for all welding equipment and specialized tooling
  • Contribute to maintenance documentation, including spare parts lists, PM schedules, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Support the manufacturing of prototype parts and communicate technical lessons learned to the production team
  • Program and set up all welding equipment for new jigs and processes to ensure a seamless production launch

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Automation & Robotics
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC-based machine control systems and computer-integrated manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of automotive welding standards, specifically GMAW, spot, and projection welding
  • Strong robotic programming skills specifically tailored to robotic-based welding applications
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental stewardship
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 based on your specific welding expertise and experience
  • Opportunity to work with advanced robotic welding technology in a world-class automotive setting
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits from day one
  • Retirement savings plan with company matching contributions
