Job Description:

The Engineering Technician I is responsible for assisting in the build, maintenance, and upgrade of prototypes, products, and assemblies in support of Sigma Design’s engineering team. This entry-level role performs routine tasks under close supervision while learning foundational skills and tools.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and basic lab setup
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
Observe and support testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
Participate in training to build technical knowledge and safe work practices
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
0-2 Years of Experience of relevant work experience
Familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical lab equipment
Willingness to learn mechanical and electrical assembly skills
Basic computer and math skills
Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values
Pass a post-offer background verification
