This role is responsible for the independent application of relevant technical knowledge, techniques and procedures in support of the safe and effective operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems. This subject matter expert position plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems and industrial equipment, ensuring they run efficiently and safely.
Job Responsibility:
System installation and maintenance: Install, wire, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, control systems, and industrial machinery according to diagrams and specifications
Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and fix problems with automated systems, including PLCs, BMS, Power & Generation and other electrical components, to minimize downtime
Documentation and reporting: Keep detailed logs of maintenance and repairs, document process changes, and record data on equipment performance
Provide technical support to Operations, Engineering and Projects in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electrical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications
Review and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and configuration, from general concepts, SOP's, MOP's, Impact Assessments and Drawing packages
Provide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management
Evaluate operational systems, equipment, processes and infrastructure in support of general and targeted optimization and improvement initiatives
Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace
Any other reasonable duties as requested
Requirements:
Certificate III or equivalent
Field: Electrotechnology or other relevant related discipline
Must hold and be able to maintain an Australian “A” Grade Electrical License, OR hold and be able to maintain a minimum US State Journeyman Electrical License
Driver’s License
Trade qualifications plus at least 5 years of experience working in a similar environment
At least 18 years of age
Able to fluently read, write and speak English
Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly
Nice to have:
Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering or relevant related discipline
